Pin Oak Swim Team

Hey Piranhas, I'm Coach Abby!! I am so excited to be your Head Coach again this summer. This is my fourth year coaching for Pin Oak, but my sixth year coaching summer swim. I started my love for swimming at the age of 5 here on the Pin Oak Swim Team! I swam for many different club teams such as Katy Aquatics, Fulshear Racing, and Texas Swim Academy. I also swam on Varsity for Katy High School my freshman and sophomore year where I lettered in the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke. Besides my passion for swimming, I have a strong passion and love for kids with disabilities. I will be a Junior at Texas A&M studying Special Education! WHOOP!!! I am so excited to see yall at the pool.

Hi, I’m Coach Mitchell and I’m so excited to be back for my second summer coaching the best team ever! Ever since I was a baby I have been swimming and when I moved to Katy, I started swimming competitively for Pin Oak, where I held several of the team’s records. A few years after I started swimming competitively, I joined Katy Aquatics where I made lots of friends including Coach Abby. I graduated from Katy High School in the class of 2024 where I was a part of the school’s swim team and band. I am now attending Louisiana State University for Civil Engineering in the class of 2028 (Geaux Tigers), where I was a part of the marching band in the fall semester. Once again I’m looking forward to another great season with the Pin Oak Piranhas!

Hi, I am Coach Avery!!! I am very excited to be returning for my second year coaching as an assistant this season. I have been on this team since I was 8 years old and this is my 8th year in a row being on this team. My favorite stroke has always been breaststroke. I am currently a sophomore at Katy High School and I have been running varsity cross country and track for 2 years now. In cross country I run a 5k and in track I run the 3200, 1600, and 800. Last year was so much fun and I am looking forward to seeing everyone again!
